Penguin NOir
Penguin Noir is a game made over the course of two semesters by 14 students. I was the Producer, and my duties included assigning weekly tasks to all the team members, leading discussions, making executive decisions, and doing anything I could to make the developer’s lives easier.
Though development was difficult in a team with such little experience, many students look fondly back on the game’s development and expressed interest in working with me again in the future. Therefore, I think of this game as a success.
The player controls penguin Giuseppe Squawks, who’s on a mission to find the killer of his beloved girlfriend, Adelaide. The player quickly slides around a pinball-like maze, propelling themselves in different directions by using the kickback force of a jellyfish gun. The player has to try to rack up a high combo of actions while searching for the pearls hidden around each level.
